Born in Perth, Rowan is the eldest of six children. After realising this fact he fled to Sydney and studied screenwriting at AFTRS.
In 2014 Rowan wrote and directed his debut short film, Who’s Afraid of The Dark, a horror comedy which was a semi-finalist in the Los Angeles CineFest and appeared in festivals around the world, including a surprisingly popular run in Lithuania, appearing at the 2015 Wolves Independent International Film Festival.
He then went on to co-write and direct yet another comedy, Tegan The Vegan, that was shown around Australia as part of the Australia’s Funniest Shorts roadshow as well as Indie Flicks Festival throughout the UK.
Rowan’s other work includes Waiting For God, a magic realism short film, which debuted at last year’s CineFest Oz. He is currently trying to further develop his skills by writing this bio.
